It was when the meteor appeared in the sky back in Chapter 1 Season 3 that Fortnite lore truly began. In Season 4, it struck Dusty Depot, destroying it and thus replacing it with Dusty Divot. After this, The Visitor made his first appearance which led to the rocket launch event, the first true live event in Fortnite.

Players have a unique opportunity to witness the rocket launch event once again, this time in Fortnite OG, a game mode that allows fans to revisit the first Chapter of Battle Royale. Rocket Launch Live Event Date and Time
When Is the Blast Off Live Event in Fortnite?
The Blast Off live event, known to many as the rocket launch event, was live in Fortnite Battle Royale on June 30, 2018, during Chapter 1 Season 4. Whether players watched it when it went live over seven years ago or not, they have a chance to watch or rewatch it this month.
Epic Games has confirmed that the rocket launch live event is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, at 2 PM ET.
How to Watch the Rocket Launch Event in Fortnite
Even though Epic Games has not confirmed whether the event will take place in-game or a Creative Island, the former is most likely. In the original Blast Off event, players were able to enter a match and watch it from wherever they wanted. The rocket launched into the sky and then flew over various locations on the island, so it would make sense if that was also the case this time around.
If so, to watch the rocket launch live event, players will have to enter a Fortnite OG match a few minutes before 2 PM ET on July 26.
Back in Chapter 1 Season 4, weapons were not disabled during the event. So, unfortunately, many players missed it, as they were eliminated before it began. At the moment, it is unknown if it will be any different during the OG Rocket Launch event.
