Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will have you facing all sorts of enemies, from those being the size of an overgrown bug, to giant monsters that crash through arenas. Seeing what’s happening is crucial to timing your dodges right, and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers gives players two options for their camera perspective to see the action during their playthrough.
Players can choose between Standoff or Classic Perspective, each offering a unique take on how you’ll see the game in the 3rd person point of view. Here are the differences between these perspectives and which one you should choose.

Standoff vs Classic Perspective in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Standoff Perspective
Standoff Perspective adds a more cinematic look to the game, focusing on giving a cooler angle with Wuchang herself being off to one side or the other. This perspective only kicks in whenever you lock onto an enemy, with the camera shifting off to the side. When wandering around or fighting without locking on, the camera angle will normally be in the classic perspective as you explore.
Classic Perspective
Classic Perspective keeps the camera in the usual spot right above Wuchang’s head. She will also be in the center of the screen, no matter what you do or lock onto. This camera angle is a bit higher than Standoff, giving you a better look at everything around you instead of a cinematic angle. Fans of most other soulslike games will find this perspective to be the most familiar.

Which Camera Perspective Should You Use in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers?
While it ultimately comes down to what the players feel is best, the Classic Perspective is arguably the better option. Standoff gives a better cinematic visual in a simple one-on-one fight, but outside of bosses, you’ll usually be facing more than one enemy at once, so having a better look at your surroundings is always a benefit.
Even when it does come down to singular bosses, you’ll want a better look at the arena and not just the enemy you’re locked onto, as a lot of bosses attack with spells or abilities that cover a wide area. Standoff perspective won’t always give you a good look at your flank, and you can easily find yourself dodging into danger you didn’t know was there.
How to Switch Camera Perspectives
Switching your camera angle is easily done anytime in the main menu. Tab over to the Settings option, the second to last on the right, and scroll down to Camera Options. From here, “Camera Mode on Lock-on” will be the first option, and you can toggle it on or off whenever you want.
Opening this menu does not pause the game, so only do so when safe.
