How to Get Support Cards in Umamusume Pretty Derby
There are a few ways to get Support Cards in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, but the main one is by rolling for them in the Scout menu using Carats. You can also earn some through events or exchange Friends Points for them in the game shop. Support Cards come in six types:
- Speed
- Stamina
- Power
- Guts
- Wit
- And Pal.
You can tell what type of card it is by checking the top-right corner. Most of them share their skills with your character during career training (except Pal cards, since they only pass on stats). Like, a Speed card usually gives speed-related skills your trainee can learn for a cheaper cost.
They also come with extra effects like rainbow training (Friendship Bonus), Initial Friendship Gauge, Training Boost, Mood boosts, Race and Fan Bonuses, and more. Some even unlock special skills or events as your trainee levels up.
Umamusume Pretty Derby Support Cards Tier List
Since there are many kinds of Support Cards, we’ve made a separate tier list for each category, ranking the most useful to least useful cards from S to D tier. As for the ranking criteria, these tier lists do take into account things like card type bonuses, mood effects, and skill hints. But the main focus is on three key points: how much Friendship Bonus the card offers, how often it appears in its training type, and whether it provides useful skills.
These three factors make a big difference. For those who are unsure, Friendship Bonus makes rainbow training appear faster (which gives double stats to the trainee), Specialty Priority helps you build more stats based on the card type (for example, Power cards with high Specialty Priority give more Power points since your trainee joins those workouts more often), and relevant skill hints help your trainees win career races more easily thanks to skill discounts.
Leveling up and uncapping Support Cards is super important for boosting the bonus stats and skills your trainee gets from them. Even C-tier cards can perform way better and sometimes even hold up against B-tier cards when upgraded. But of course, if you’re looking to snag some exceptional units for your team, it’s smart to roll for SSR or strong SR cards.
