This year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal are getting a little creepier. Universal has dropped the first teaser for Five Nights at Freddy’s, which will be joining this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at both Universal Studios in California and Universal Orlando in Florida. The teaser was accompanied by a brief video featuring Freddy Fazbear and his animatronic pals from the franchise.
Universal Orlando will kick off the Halloween festivities with Five Nights At Freddy’s on August 29, while Universal Studios will wait a little longer and start the FNAF event on September 4. Halloween Horror Nights on both coasts will run until November 2.
The exact details for the temporary Five Nights At Freddy’s attraction are scarce, but it will apparently be a recreation of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria from the first game and the feature film of the same name. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy will haunt visitors as they attempt to make their way “through creepy abandoned hallways.” The description also notes that fans will “encounter ghosts in the machines.”
This year’s Halloween Horror Nights includes attractions featuring Jason Universe–based on the Friday the 13th franchise–the WWE’s Wyatt Sicks, Terrifier, and Fallout at both Universal Studios and Universal Orlando. However, Universal Orlando will have more options than the smaller theme park, including several original properties.
Unfortunately, the Five Nights At Freddy’s Halloween Horror Nights event will be wrapped up by the time Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 hits theaters on December 5. Universal Pictures recently released the first trailer for the upcoming sequel, which teased a darker story than the 2023 original film. Josh Hutcherson, Mathew Lillard, and Elizabeth Lail are reprising their roles from the first movie alongside newcomers Mckenna Grace, Teo Briones, Skeet Ulrich, and Wayne Knight.
