When Doflamingo was first introduced to the story before the timeskip, many fans were curious how on earth this flashy-dressed Warlord was able to float in the sky. It turns out that rather than being the One Piece equivalent of Superman, Doflamingo possesses the String String Fruit, which he has been able to use in a few creative ways. A major example of this is how he can attach these strings to clouds to reach his destination without even needing a ship, which is how he was able to traverse between Dressrosa and Punk Hazard so easily.

Of course, the main drawback to this fruit is that, without any clouds in the sky, Doflamingo will be forced to remain stationary. That being said though, he has still been shown to be extremely fast when using his fruit to its full potential, even managing to dodge a giant attack from Oarz Jr. without even breaking a sweat. This Devil Fruit grants Doflamingo a tremendous power boost, but also a nice upgrade to his mobility for good measure.

Lucci Becomes A Tricky Target To Pin Down Upon Entering His Zoan Form

Lucci may grow in size after he activates the underlying power of his Zoan Devil Fruit, but that doesn’t exactly slow him down. On the other hand, he can always just go on all fours and begin chasing someone down until they beg for mercy, since the average person is quickly going to find themselves out of luck if they try to outrun him. As was demonstrated in his fight against Luffy on Egghead Island, Lucci has become even more ferocious with this form after the two years of training, and while it’s far from the fastest ability on this list, it’s still one that greatly enhances Lucci’s chances of survival in combat.

Though Pell only shows up very briefly in the Alabasta arc, to say he is instrumental in saving the country from destruction would be putting it mildly. After it was revealed that a bomb would be detonating in Alabasta in no more than a few minutes, Pell took it upon himself to transform into his Zoan Falcon form before then grabbing the bomb and soaring through the skies as far away as possible, in order to protect his fellow countrymen and women.

While it’s unclear how exactly Pell ended up surviving this ordeal, it’s still extremely impressive that he managed to pull off this impressive feat through the use of his Devil Fruit. He might not gain much offensive power after making the transformation, but it’s really the mobility boost that makes Pell’s fruit such a valuable one.

Fans might remember Buffalo as one of Doflamingo’s goons who showed up to slow the Straw Hats down in the Dressrosa arc. While it’s therefore useful for getting the jump on an opponent, this fruit is even capable of dishing out damage on its own if Buffalo ends up getting too close for comfort.

While on the ground, King enjoys slicing his opponents to ribbons with his deadly pair of blades, but when taking on a powerful opponent, he will often transform and take to the skies where he can get a bird’s eye view of the battleground. During the Wano arc, King became a major problem for the Straw Hats because of how difficult it was to inflict any damage on him when he was moving around at lightning speed. In fact, King was even fast and strong enough to knock over Big Mom’s entire ship just as it was about to embark into Wano, which is far from an easy feat.

Even Marco himself would have some difficulty keeping up with King at certain points in their fight, emphasizing just how speedy this Beast Pirate truly is. He may have eventually been swatted out of the sky, but King proved that he is someone who has full mastery over his fruit ability, enabling him to avoid most people’s attacks without even trying.

Despite how absurdly large he is, the Azure Dragon can scale the land mass of Wano pretty comfortably, allowing Kaido to keep a close eye on anyone who dares to rebel against his authority over the island.

Not only that, he’s also able to shoot down fire while perusing the skies, making it almost impossible for Kaido’s opponents to even get close to him, let alone inflict any sort of damage. Admittedly, the mighty Yonko is a pretty big target when he becomes a dragon, but this drawback doesn’t matter all that much, considering how fast he is when moving at full speed.

Gear 5 Luffy Has Been Able To Keep Up With Some Insanely Fast Opponents

The first few Gear forms that Luffy unleashes in the story are primarily based around enhancing his attack power and range, but where he really started to gain some speed was with his Bound Man form. By turning his legs into heavy springs, Luffy could propel himself into the air to deal with anyone who decided to remain airborne while fighting him, but this isn’t the only time he would receive a significant buff to his mobility.

During his epic confrontation with Kaido, Luffy mustered up the strength to unleash the true potential of his Devil Fruit, transforming into Gear 5 in the process. Because this Gear essentially turns the world into Luffy’s own cartoonish playground, it means he is able to bend the laws of physics to his will, making it easier for him to escape out of a sticky situation without needing to worry about any drawbacks or limitations. Being able to keep up with the mighty Kizaru in battle is something barely anyone in the series can do, so the fact Luffy can confirm this accomplishment is a testament to his incredible speed when he decides to go all out with his power.

The first time Marco shows off his Phoenix fruit is during the epic clash between the Marines and Pirates in the Marineford War. Considering this fruit is also able to heal people alongside dealing damage, it means the mobility boost is only a very small part of the overall package, resulting in a fruit that most pirates would be desperate to have for themselves.

A Deadly Admiral Who Can Take Down Pirates Before They Even Realize What’s Happened

Kizaru makes it very clear in the Sabaody arc why he has managed to reach the position of an admiral. As someone who possesses the ability to manipulate light itself, Kizaru can move faster than anyone else in the entire series, to the point where it almost seems like he’s teleporting any time he shows up to confront a pirate in their tracks. During the Marineford War, he was zipping around the battlefield like there was no tomorrow, which is how he was able to make it out of that conflict with barely any scratches on him.

While the fruit is clearly designed to make the host as fast as possible, because Kizaru has also found ways to fire light beams out of his hands, it makes him an extremely tough Marine to take on in battle. Kizaru may seem like a pretty relaxed guy on the surface, but in truth, he’s a busybody who can always afford to be on the move thanks to his unique Devil Fruit ability.
