While the Battle Pass for each season offers some neat free rewards, and Ranked has its own cosmetics to grind for, every once in a while Epic tosses in limited-time rewards that players can claim without much effort. This is the case with the latest deadmau5 collaboration, with Festival fans being able to grab an additional Jam Track. Here is how to get the 8ths Jam Track for free in Fortnite.
How to Get the Free 8ths Jam Track in Fortnite
The 8ths Jam Track is a neat free reward that players can grab without too much effort. However, there is a twist, as it requires owning an entirely different game. The 8ths Jam Track is one of the free rewards tied to the Rocket League Year 10 ft. deadmau5 Event, where it appears as the 8ths Luxury Player Anthem. This event is currently scheduled to run until August 20, 2025, at 11 PM PT.
To unlock the 8ths Luxury Player Anthem, players will need to play an online match with a teammate who is using the same anthem during the Rocket League Year 10 ft. deadmau5 Event. The easiest way to get this done is to invite a friend and make sure both of you use the same Player Anthem. To do this, follow these steps:
- From the main menu, head to the Profile tab.
- Select “Choose Player Anthem” and then pick your desired album.
- Choose the track you want and make sure it matches the one your teammate is using.
From here, simply head into a game of Rocket League with your teammates with the same Anthem set. Upon doing so, the 8ths Luxury Player Anthem will be unlocked inside of Rocket League for both players.
Once players have unlocked the 8ths Luxury Player Anthem, they will also receive the 8ths Jam Track for free in Fortnite, as long as both games are linked to the same Epic Account. After unlocking it, simply hop back into Fortnite and, upon logging in, the 8ths Jam Track will be ready to claim.
The 8ths Luxury Player Anthem and Jam Track are only free until August 20, 2025, at 11 PM PT. After this time, they may very well return to both the Rocket League and Fortnite Item Shops at a later date, where they will need to be purchased with V-Bucks or Credits.
