Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 doesn’t have any major points of no return, as just about all content can be completed in later acts as you progress through the game. With additional mobility options for Esquie, you’ll quickly be able to get wherever you want to go, even though there’s no instant fast travel option.
At the start of Act 3 in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the continent will fully open up, and players will have access to all content in the game. Level and story-wise, many will want to finally see how it all ends and head straight to Lumiere, but after the credits roll, the game will still be playable. Here’s everything that can and should be done in the post-game.

High-Level Content to do After Beating Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
It’s important to note that there is no unique post-game content, as the game is reloaded to a point right before you fight the final boss and finish the game. While you can jump into New Game +, there is still a lot of optional content to do in the game, with a lot of the Act 3 content being made for characters all the way up to max level.
High-Level Danger Dungeons
The following are all places that can be explored that have enemies of a much higher level than the final area of the main game, and ideally are taken on after the final boss:
It’s best to start at the Endless Tower as the enemy levels here will increase at a more bearable rate and will help you level up to be ready for the much higher level enemies in the following locations.
Optional/Secret Bosses
These bosses can range from slightly harder than the final boss to incredibly powerful secret bosses meant to push your max-level party to the absolute limit:
- Sprong
- Golga – Dark Gestral Arena
- Serpenphare – above the Boat Graveyard
- Painted Love – Endless Tower
- Alicia – The Reacher
- Clea – Flying Manor
- Simon – Renior’s Drafts
Other Things to do in the Post-Game of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Maxing out relationships with each character will unlock additional story content for them, along with locations to explore and bosses to fight, and doesn’t have nearly the level requirements as all the content listed above. Esquie’s Dive ability is unlocked through his relationship and is required to access the hardest boss in the game, Simon. There are also many Chromatic bosses found throughout the continent, though a lot of them won’t come close to those listed above if you’ve already beaten them. As long as you’ve got the Old Key from the prologue of the game, you’ll now have the freedom to find every journal in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 if you want.
