A Vampire Survivors Board Game Is In The Works

Vampire Survivors, the popular action-packed video game, is being turned into a board game, with a Kickstarter campaign launching this autumn. The board game is being developed by Grey Fox Studios, the creators of the Metal Gear Solid board game. Known for its chaotic gameplay and barrage of endless enemies, adapting Vampire Survivors to a slower-paced tabletop format will be a major challenge.

In the video game, players try to survive for as long as possible while facing growing swarms of enemies. They collect upgrades and evolve weapons to stay alive, balancing offense and defense. This simple but compelling formula has inspired many similar games over the past few years.

Details are limited at the moment, but similar to the video game, the board game adaptation will also let players choose a survivor from a cast of familiar characters, each with their own unique abilities. These heroes must face off against relentless waves of the undead and other monstrous creatures, with each round growing more intense as the swarm grows larger and more dangerous.

As players fight to survive, they get experience points as well as the chance to upgrade their weapons and abilities to become stronger. Signature weapons can even evolve into more powerful forms, giving players a better chance at holding off the darkness. There’s no confirmation on the player count allowed, but it should be noted that Vampire Survivors eventually added a co-op mode.
