Ralts is one of the most sought-after species in Pokemon GO, since it can evolve into Gardevoir and Gallade, depending on whether it is female or male. On that note, trainers need to look far and wide for the perfect Ralts to use them in PvP or PvE, and the Spotlight Hour is the best chance they have to catch many of these Pokemon.
With a maximum Combat Power of 609, and average stats, Ralts is not one of those Pokemon that trainers would pick for Little Cup, and when it evolves into Kirlia, things don’t exactly improve. Nevertheless, its final evolutions are a different story. Gardevoir is a decent pick to counter meta Pokemon thanks to its Fairy-type, and Gallade is a powerful spammer and shield breaker. So, if players are interested in picking a decent Ralts in the next Spotlight Hour, here’s all the information on the event, time, bonuses, and how to get a Shiny Ralts.
Pokemon GO: Ralts Spotlight Hour Date & Bonuses
The Ralts Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO will begin on Tuesday, August 19, at 6 PM Local Time, and will end the same day at 7 PM Local Time. Trainers have exactly one hour to get as many Ralts as possible, looking for the ideal IV Spreads for PvP, or that valuable Hundo for PvE activities.
The bonus this time is 2x Candy for catching Pokemon, and that means players will be able to collect tons of Ralts Candy. Remember that this also doubles the amount of bonus Candy for using Pinap or Silver Pinap Berries, (though trainers shouldn’t waste Silver Pinap Berries in Ralts). For those trainers looking to level up their favorite Ralts, this is a great chance to get that surplus of Candy needed to evolve and train it.
Pokemon GO: How To Get Shiny Ralts
Shiny Ralts is available in Pokemon GO, so trainers looking for a female or male Ralts can encounter a Shiny version of this cute species if they are lucky. The Spotlight Hour doesn’t improve the spawn chances (unlike the Community Day events), but with so many Ralts taking over the map, trainers are bound to find one if they look hard enough.
To improve their chances, players should increase the spawning rates even higher by following these tips:
- Use Incense near PokeStops boosted by Lure Modules to encounter more Ralts.
- You can get better results by finding PokeStops boosted by the Windy Weather Conditions.
- Keep walking around the PokeStop to activate the Incense effects.
Unlike other events, the Spotlight Hour doesn’t host any Research Tasks that can rewards players with extra encounters with Ralts, though if players use the Party Play feature and band together, they can even exchange information about possible Hundo Spawning Locations. On that note, the Pokemon that spawn from the Incense and Daily Adventure Incense are not shared with other players, so two trainers walking side by side might encounter different Ralts lured by the effects of the Incense, and these will have different IV Spreads.
