Open-world games in the modern era feature a ton of activities to let fans live out a second life of sorts. So, it’s easy to see why so many of these games let fans romance other characters, if they wish.
While some games prefer to let these relationships build after conversations and story beats, players can also go out on dates in certain open-world games. It helps them build an intimate bond with their romantic interests and makes for a fun side activity for players to enjoy.

Sleeping Dogs is a game more people need to check out. The stylistic depiction of Hong Kong, fun hand-to-hand combat, and great homages to classic Hong Kong action flicks are just a few of the many things this game nails.
Along with this, Wei can also date one of five potential partners, taking them out for a night on the town as they enjoy a nice drive, participate in some karaoke, or engage in some other activity. It’s a shame that these partners just disappear after the romance is complete, but this is a small complaint in the grand scheme of things.

Fans of the original Final Fantasy 7 couldn’t wait for the Gold Saucer to appear in Rebirth. Not only is it a carnival full of fun moments that serves as a backdrop for numerous powerful moments in the story, but it also features numerous dates with the party members.
Just like the original, the game maintains a gauge that keeps track of Cloud’s relationship with each party member. Based on this hidden affection gauge, one of Tifa, Aerith, or Yuffie will ask Cloud out on one of two potential date sequences. If the player blows their chances with each party member, they can always head out for a fun time with the boys.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon
Saeko And Eri Cement Their Relationship With Ichiban Following A Date In The Survive Bar
Players can find several potential romances to engage with in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Most of these characters have basic gauges that can be improved via regular interactions and gifts, which isn’t exactly a riveting romance.
However, in the case of Saeko and Eri, players will cement their relationship with both characters following a date at Survive Bar. The conversations insinuate that their relationships have become romantic, although this isn’t mentioned at all later on, which is a shame.
Grand Theft Auto 4
Niko Bellic Can Date One Of Several Potential Romances
Just like San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto 4 allows players to go out on dates with numerous women. While Kate McReary may be the woman that Niko falls head over heels over, the other dateable characters are also fun in their own right.
Some of them are met over the course of the story, while others can be found in online chat rooms. Either way, players will love understanding what their date wants and giving them the experience of a lifetime, until their gauges are maxed out.

Players must be wary and have as much fun as possible in the limited time they have. Based on their actions, a great date can turn into a beautiful relationship that can become permanent if the Sims decide to get married.

CJ Can Date Multiple Romances
San Andreas is one of the greatest open-world games of all time, with CJ’s adventures being legendary in their own right. His excursions take him all over the game world, with the cities and countrysides allowing CJ to meet and date women for many in-game benefits.
Every dateable girl in this game has their likes and dislikes that players must adhere to. Eventually, after maxing out these relationships, players will gain access to cool vehicles and in-game perks, although CJ’s girlfriends won’t appreciate it if he’s in the area and doesn’t make an effort to set a date with them.

Romantic Hangouts Were Added To The Game In A Later Update
The updates for Cyberpunk 2077 enhanced many qualities of the game, allowing players to live a virtual life in the capitalist hellscape that is Night City. They also added new content, including romantic hangouts in one of the many apartments V can purchase in the game.
It’s a great way to flesh out the romantic bonds between V and their partner. It may seem like a small change, but it does a great job of making Cyberpunk 2077 all the more memorable to play through.
