Among Us is hinting at a major crossover coming to the RPG in the near future, teasing a Genshin Impact collaboration set to arrive soon. The party game developed by Innersloth has seen a wide variety of different crossover content since it exploded onto the scene as one of the hottest games to play with friends. Among Us has teamed up with plenty of video game franchises throughout the game’s life, including beloved games like Celeste, Like a Dragon, and Halo among others. Now, one fan-favorite RPG is coming to Among Us in the near future.
Releasing in close proximity to Among Us‘ explosion in popularity, Genshin Impact similarly took the internet by storm following its debut in 2020. The gacha RPG would quickly become one of the most popular online games, amassing millions of players and re-defining what a gacha game could look like. Genshin Impact has also seen consistent support from developer HoYoverse, releasing regular updates and adding multiple new regions, characters, and more to the game. Two of 2020’s biggest success stories are now set to team up in an upcoming crossover.
An official post from the Among Us Twitter account hinted at the upcoming collaboration with Genshin Impact on Saturday afternoon. The post references someone “stirring up trouble on the Skeld,” with a crewmate from the game looking at what appears to be an illuminated silhouette of Genshin Impact‘s Paimon. The teaser was further corroborated by the official account for Genshin Impact, reposting the Tweet with a pair of reaction images of the Genshin Impact mascot. The post does not give any details about what the Genshin Impact crossover will contain, or when it will release.
Among Us is Teaming Up With Genshin Impact
While the post does not give many details about the Genshin Impact collaboration, some hints are clearly dropped about the high-profile partnership. The post’s main image features a silhouette of what appears to be Paimon drawn in the artstyle of Among Us, suggesting that Paimon will likely be added as a skin within Among Us. A major Genshin Impact voice actor also appears within the replies of the post, with Aether’s voice actor Zach Aguilar potentially teasing his involvement with the upcoming collaboration.
Among Us‘ teased crossover with Genshin Impact comes as the HoYoverse RPG is gearing up for one of its biggest updates yet. The RPG will officially roll out its Version 6.0 update next week, adding the newest region of Nod-Krai to Genshin Impact alongside a trio of new playable characters. Nod-Krai is also expected to see the game’s overarching story begin to ramp up, with factions like the Fatui and the mysterious Hexenzirkel said to be involved. Genshin Impact fans should be excited for the RPG’s upcoming crossover with Among Us, commemorating the launch of its newest region.
