How To Get the Shroud of False Death

Success in Diablo 4 seems to rely quite a bit on the items you have equipped. If you want to complete the game and start to raise the Torment levels of the world around you, you will need to collect items specific to the build you are trying to create.

One of the items that can help a lot of builds is the Shroud of False Death. This item can be crafted, but you’ll need to collect all the Diablo 4 materials first, then bring them to the correct vendor.

How To Craft a Shroud of False Death in D4

In order to craft the Shroud of False Death, you will need Runes, and Runes can only be acquired if you have the Vessel of Hatred DLC expansion for Diablo 4. Once you have it, you will need to complete the Fundament of Faith, a main story quest in the DLC. This will unlock the ability to collect runes and craft them. After the story quest has been completed, head to the Jeweler. You will be able to craft a Shroud of False Death there with this recipe:

• 2 Resplendent Sparks
• 6 Bac Runes
• 6 Kry Runes
• 6 Moni Runes
• 5,000 Diablo 4 gold

How to Get Resplendent Sparks in D4

There are several ways to get Resplendent Sparks in Diablo 4. These are listed below.

• Defeating a Tormented Uber Boss, but only the first time every season.
• Defeating Echo of Lilith, but only once per season.
• Salvaged from Mythic Unique Weapons.
• From Mother’s Gifts Diablo 4 Events.

How to Get Bac, Kry, and Moni Runes

All the different rune types are gathered in the same way. You will need to be ready to battle a lot if you want to get a pile of these items so you can start crafting with them.

• Stronghold runs, but only the first time you defeat it.
• Kurast Undercity runs. Runs with the Tribute of Harmony will guarantee rune drops.
• Major campaign bosses in Vessel of Hatred will drop runes, and Elite enemies have a chance of dropping runes, too.
• You can also craft new runes out of the runes you currently have at the Jeweler.

Can You Get The Shroud of False Death Without Buying Vessel of Hatred?

It does not appear that there is a way to get this item other than crafting it, and you need runes to craft it. Unfortunately, this means if you haven’t purchased the expansion, you will not be able to obtain this item. There are no enemies or bosses that drop this item, and runes are impossible to grab without Vessel of Hatred.
