Updated July 18, 2025: Another week has come for Destiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. The day fans have been waiting for finally arrived as The Edge of Fate officially launches today. As Bungie hinted at over the past few weeks, the expansion has been accompanied by a massive Destiny 2 update, making sweeping changes and tweaks to the game’s sandbox and gear.
With the arrival of the Edge of Fate and the new era under the Year of Prophecy, players will be seeing the end of Episode Heresy after nearly 5 months of being active. However, another void will likely be felt as the Rite of the Nine in Destiny 2 is also coming to an end. The unique activity was seemingly a hit with players as it rotated through a trio of dungeons, offering new experiences and rewards to help freshen up the experience.
