A new leak from Zenless Zone Zero is suggesting that a fan-favorite mini-game from Genshin Impact may soon be making the jump to the HoYoverse urban action RPG. HoYoverse’s newest RPG has been a smash hit throughout the year since its release, quickly amassing tens of millions of players and making the jump to Xbox with the Version 2.0 update. The developer has added plenty of new game modes to Zenless Zone Zero since its release, including Deadly Assault and a new management mini-game with the Suibian Temple. Now, Zenless Zone Zero may have an exciting mini-game coming soon.
Since it first debuted during Genshin Impact‘s Version 1.4, the beloved RPG’s rhythm mini-game quickly became a staple of new Genshin Impact events. Players could jam along to some of their favorite songs from Genshin Impact and earn a copy of the instrument used for the event as a reward. Genshin Impact would even make its rhythm mini-game a permanent fixture during the Version 5.3 update. Zenless Zone Zero may now be following suit with a rhythm game of its own.

Zenless Zone Zero Leak Hints at New Mini-Game
A recent leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Mero suggests that Zenless Zone Zero will soon be adding its own rhythm mini-game. The leaked video features a lineup of some of Zenless Zone Zero‘s most popular songs, including Burnice’s “Burning Desires” and Astra Yao’s “Original Me” among others. The post does not share any details about how the rhythm game will play, though it is expected to function similarly to Genshin Impact‘s rhythm mini-game. Zenless Zone Zero‘s rhythm mini-game is expected to launch as part of the Version 2.2 update, scheduled to release on August 27.
The addition of a rhythm mini-game to Zenless Zone Zero comes as the game’s music has often been a viral part of its marketing. The music video for the previously-mentioned Burning Desires went viral following its debut, still standing as one of the most viewed videos on Zenless Zone Zero‘s official YouTube channel. Astra Yao’s “Original Me” is also featured prominently within Zenless Zone Zero, with the song playing in-game after Astra Yao uses her Ultimate.
The recent launch of Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 2.1 similarly saw some exciting content brought to the RPG. Version 2.1 welcomed two new characters to the game’s roster, with Yuzuha and Alice joining as the first members of the new “Spook Shack” faction. The update also debuted the newest chapter of the game’s main story, alongside summer-themed skins for Belle and Wise and both of the update’s new characters. Zenless Zone Zero looks to keep the Waifei Peninsula’s early momentum rolling with a fun-filled summer update for fans to enjoy.
