Spider-Man has linked up with various other characters since being introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From Iron Man to Dr Strange, Tom Holland’s version of the popular webslinger is no stranger to working side by side with another Marvel character, and while more partnerships have already been confirmed, Marvel Studios might be working on another for further down the line.

Marvel fans are always looking for fun partnerships between different characters, given the impact they can have, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to feature plenty of them. However, Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige has already teased that more is to come.

Marvel might restrict The Punisher in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which could be a serious problem moving forward.

This version of Spider-Man has worked with lots of different characters, but one of the most popular from the Marvel comics has yet to happen. That is the combination of Spider-Man and The Human Torch. However, that might be about to change after The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces the four heroes to the MCU, including Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, setting up the possibility of that partnership taking place for the first time. Feige directly spoke about that idea to CBR, giving an answer that is sure to excite superhero fans.

Spider-Man fans are already gearing up to see the unlikely duo of Peter Parker and The Punisher together, which is set to take place in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. That movie is also going to feature The Hulk in some capacity, although it’s unknown whether he will be playing a hero or a villain at this stage. However, Marvel Studios is certainly introducing a large number of characters into the upcoming movie to drum up as much interest as possible.

Given how many characters are already involved in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it’s likely that people will have to wait a little longer to see Spider-Man and The Human Torch together on-screen. However, it’s a positive sign that Marvel is aware of how popular that partnership is among fans, as they often look to listen to the audience and provide moments from the comics that people will enjoy. Currently, the focus is on introducing the Fantastic Four in their MCU debuts, with the hope that audiences will accept them as a group, allowing them to move forward in future movies.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps has received positive reviews from critics, a promising start for the upcoming movie. However, the true litmus test will be when the general public can see it. Regardless of the response, the Fantastic Four will be part of Avengers: Doomsday, which will likely feature them working alongside various other heroes from the franchise. Unfortunately, at this point, Holland isn’t part of that cast, which means Spider-Man and The Human Torch might now cross paths in that one, either. Although Avengers: Secret Wars is also around the corner, that might have more involvement from Spider-Man, possibly setting up a time for them to share the screen.
