After grinding Diablo 2: Resurrected for nearly four years, a player managed to reach level 99 on every available character in the game. This is almost the length of time that has passed since Diablo 2: Resurrected was first released.
Diablo 2: Resurrected was released back in 2021, and is a remaster of the original Diablo 2. While the game was initially just a graphical update available on modern consoles for the most part, Blizzard has consistently updated the game since, adding new Runewords, quality-of-life changes, as well as consistent balance adjustments, giving it a fresh experience compared to its original counterpart. This also includes adding Ladders, which act similarly to Seasons in Diablo 4, as well as Diablo 3.

Diablo 2: Resurrected recently attained an impressive statistic, which could mean it’s time for another entry in the franchise to get a remaster.
Reddit user Tarheel6793 posted an impressive accomplishment in their journey through the game. After grinding in the game for nearly four years, they managed to reach level 99 on every character in Diablo 2: Resurrected. With seven available characters in the game, this adds up to 693 total levels. On top of this, they leveled their Sorcerer and Paladin before the release of the Terror Zones (and potentially even before Ladders made their debut in Diablo 2: Resurrected), further proving their dedication to accomplishing this achievement.
Diablo 2: Resurrected Player Achieves Level 99 on All Characters
Diablo 2: Resurrected has a notoriously long leveling time, with players stating that reaching level 99 with a single character can take anywhere between 120 and 300 hours. This is a stark contrast to the later games in the series, with Diablo 4‘s newest season giving players tools to get max level quickly, and Diablo 3 having items and mechanics specifically aimed at leveling alternative characters faster. While the Terror Zones added to the game can cut down on leveling time, players can still expect to spend many hours trying to get just a single character to level 99. Because of this, many guides for Diablo 2: Resurrected will focus only on getting to level 75, as opposed to reaching the level cap completely.
While two other Diablo games have been released in the subsequent years, Diablo 2: Resurrected is still widely popular in the community. It has even been reported recently that more players are playing Diablo 2: Resurrected than Diablo 3. It remains to be seen whether another player will try to get every character in the game to max level, but with consistent updates and new Ladders to look forward to, fans in general will have plenty of content to keep them coming back for a long time.
