- Alteration – These unlock additional Acupoint slots. Most of these require Red Mercury only, though the last one at the far-left requires a Cyan Feather Chisel. We don’t want to spoil all the details, but you can acquire it much later in the game.
- Rapid Temperance and related nodes – These perks unlock additional Bone Needles that cause weapons to inflict status effects. These include Poise Break, Lightning/Paralysis, Frostbite, Corruption, and Blight.

- Bone Needles – The aforementioned Bone Needles unlocked via the skill tree can be equipped in the Yangchi Acupoint. Only one Bone Needle can be active at any given time.
- Stone Needles – Stone Needles, meanwhile, come from Inner Demons that spawn in specific areas. These Stone Needles can be socketed into the remaining Acupoints.
Note that you should always check if Bone Needles or Stone Needles are compatible with the weapon that you’re wielding. Some weapons gain a boost if the Temper option matches their elemental or status effect trait.
