The Feast layer in Donkey Kong Bananza features a number of mine cart tracks and roller coasters, bringing a theme park vibe to the level’s fast-food scenery. The Branching-Track Roarcoaster is one of this layer’s challenge courses – one that requires DK to navigate a mine cart track filled with thorns, explosives, and alternate routes.

In the Forest Layer, DK Bananza players can find a Fragmentone who will reward 2x Banandium Gems if you find the three missing fragments nearby.

To complete this level and get every banana in the Branching-Track Roarcoaster course, DK Bananza players must keep a keen eye out for track switches, which will change the direction you will travel at certain junctions. Follow this guide to learn how to get all Banandium Gems in the Branching-Track Roarcoaster, including the second, secret banana hidden halfway through the level.

Where Is The Branching-Track Roarcoaster In DK Bananza?

From the spawn point in the Feast layer, travel to the back right of the zone toward the circular rollercoaster and purple cylinder on the layer map. Just outside of the entrance to this minecart track, to the back right of the gigantic lion, you should find the Ferocious Fryhouse checkpoint surrounded by a smattering of golden fries.

From this checkpoint, facing the lion, turn left and you should see a void-sealed door and a Constructone. Pay the Constructone 600 Gold to destroy the barrier, then enter the door to begin Feast Layer Challenge Course 3: Branching-Track Roarcoaster.

In this course, DK must ride a mine cart and use explosive charges to swap the tracks at certain points. At most junctions, you will be presented with a path that leads into a gold wall or a path that leads into thorns. Don’t waste all your throwables; save a handful of explosives to swap these tracks, allowing you to avoid the thorn paths.

Banandium Gem #1: Roarcoaster Rest Stop

The first banana in the Branching-Track Roarcoaster DK Bananza Challenge Course can be found a short way into the level. Jump into the mine cart at the start, collect throwable explosives, then throw them into all track switches as you continue along the track.

Eventually the track will come to a stop and you will be launched off next to the first Banandium Gem in the Branching-Track Roarcoaster level.

Banandium Gem #2: Behind A Roaring Waterfall

The second banana in the Branching-Track Roarcoaster course is not on the main track. Instead, you must keep a keen eye out for a mine cart switch hidden behind the waterfall about halfway through the second half of the course.

The secret DK Artist game mode in Donkey Kong Bananza harkens back to the era of Mario Paint and Mario 64’s title screen minigame.

Throw an explosive into this switch, which should be above DK in a short, straight stretch outside, and you will be redirected to go through the waterfall and into a secret cave.

Hop off the mine cart, pick up the second, secret Banandium Gem, then jump into the mine cart on the other side to continue to the end of the challenge course.

The secret track that leads away from this hidden Banandium Gem links back with the main track.

Banandium Gem #3: A Roaring Finish

The last banana DK Bananza players can find in the Branching-Track Roarcoaster track is at the very end of the course. No matter which path you take to get there, as long as you don’t die on the way, you will earn this final Banandium Gem.

To ensure you get to the end in one piece, take care to avoid thorns and take the paths that lead into golden terrain instead. Don’t waste all of your explosives, and you should make it to the end and get this final Banandium Gem safely.
