Mihawk is also a powerful user of Haki, and it certainly does give an edge to his swordsmanship. Overall, it isn’t a surprise for anyone to see that Mihawk is a Yonko-level fighter whose strength is no less impressive than any other Emperor. As such, that is the very level that fans expect Zoro to peak at.

Zoro Already Lost To Mihawk Once

From the very beginning of the story, fans knew Zoro would go on to fight the world’s strongest swordsman and fulfill the promise that he made to Kuina. Zoro has already faced Mihawk once and lost the battle terribly, but the second fight isn’t going to go that way. Zoro will defeat Dracule Mihawk eventually, and fans will definitely get to see that in the manga. While Mihawk is a very powerful enemy in Zoro’s path, fans know very well that the ultimate villains in the story are none other than the Celestial Dragons, which means Imu, Five Elders, and the Holy Knights are the main enemies. In other words, Zoro’s final enemy in One Piece is going to be Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, most likely. The two have already clashed during the Egghead arc in the past, but a proper battle hasn’t ensued yet. When Zoro is the Strongest Swordsman in the World, he will face this man, who is above any and all titles, and most likely possesses skill greater than even Mihawk himself.

It is only after Zoro defeats Nusjuro that he will go on to become the mightiest swordsman in the world of One Piece, with strength that rivals even the gods of the world. Zoro’s peak is greater than that of Mihawk, and it is only a matter of time before Oda displays his greatness again.
