While your trainee’s goal races are the most important part of your Umamusume: Pretty Derby career, there are optional races like the Dual Dirts that you can run to earn bonus rewards. These aren’t listed on the career race list, though, so which two races are required for the Dual Dirts achievement in Umamusume?
Umamusume: Pretty Derby uses real-life races just like it uses real-life horses, and some of those races are grouped together by racing fans. The Dual Dirts are just one example of this phenomenon, and you’ll have to win several other race combinations if you want to get as many free Carats as possible. Thankfully, the Dual Dirts are fairly easy to win in career mode as long as you bring the right Umamusume.

How to Win the Dual Dirts in Umamusume
The Dual Dirts are a pair of Dirt Sprint races in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. The first is the February Stakes, and the second is the Champions Cup. If you win both of these races in the same year of your trainee’s career, you’ll earn the Dual Dirts achievement and be rewarded with 150 Carats.
The February Stakes takes place in Late February of Senior Year, while the Champions Cup takes place in Early December in both the Classic and Senior Years. They’re both G1 races, so they have fairly high fan requirements that you need to meet before you can enter.
Since they’re both Dirt Sprints, the best Umamusume to bring for the Dual Dirts is Haru Urara. The February Stakes is even one of Haru Urara’s goal races, so it’s mandatory for her. After winning that one, just make sure to enter the Champions Cup later that year to get the Dual Dirts achievement.
You can also use Legacy bonuses to boost the Dirt performance of other Umamusume like Taiki Shuttle if you have them unlocked.
Even though you can get by with a decent placement in both of these races, you have to place first in order for them to count toward the Dual Dirts achievement. Make sure you train your Umamusume with plenty of Speed and Power so they have a strong chance of finishing first.
To make things easier on yourself, you can bookmark the February Stakes and Champions Cup ahead of time so you don’t accidentally skip them when the time comes. Once you’ve unlocked the races button early in a career run, just skim through all the future races until you find the Dual Dirts. Then, tap the schedule button to get a reminder later on.
