PlayStation is hosting a limited-time PS5 accessory sale in celebration of Evo 2025, the annual fighting game tournament that’s owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment From now through August 4, select first-party gear is 15% off on PlayStation Direct with promo code EVO2025. Most notably, the sale includes the DualSense Edge, PlayStation’s premium, customizable controller for PS5 and PC. With the promo code applied to the white or Midnight Black editions, the price of the $200 controller drops to $170, which matches the all-time low from the Days of Play sale earlier this year.

Other notable first-party PS5 accessory deals include the Pulse Explore Earbuds for $170 and Pulse Elite Headset for $127.50.

The DualSense Edge is to the PS5 what the Elite Series 2 is to Xbox. If you can stomach the price–even with the deal it’s roughly $100 more than standard PS5 controller–the DualSense Edge is a fantastic controller for PS5 and PC. Along with the features found on the original, the DualSense Edge has the following key features:

    • Two pairs of swappable paddles
    • Three pairs of stick caps: standard, tall dome, low dome
    • Trigger locks with three stopping points
    • Two customizable Function buttons for menus/settings
    • Braided USB-C cable with optional connector housing
    • Hardshell carrying case

You can read a more in-depth rundown of the DualSense Edge at the bottom of this story, but PlayStation’s premium controller isn’t the only controller included in the Evo 2025 sale.

All prices listed below are with the EVO2025 promo code applied. After adding an item to your cart, click the “promo code” dropdown above your order summary and enter the code.

Multiple third-party controllers with a fighting-game focus are up for grabs, including Hori’s Octa Pro Wireless Fighting Commander, which has six microswitch face buttons, three swappable D-pads, and two back buttons. The left stick has an octagonal gate, while right stick has a low-profile design. This is the first big discount on the Octa Pro since its April launch.

You can also save on traditional fighting sticks such as the Nacon Daija as well as two popular Logitech racing wheels, which is admittedly a bit strange considering this is an Evo sale.

In addition to controllers and gaming headsets, the Evo 2025 promotion features an assortment of officially licensed storage devices from Seagate, SanDisk, and Western Digital. If you’re running out of space on your PS5, the the 2TB WD Black SN850P SSD with a heatsink is available for $161.50 (was $190). Seagate’s PlayStation-branded 5TB external hard drive is down to $127.50, but keep in mind that this is only able to store PS5 games, not boot them. This deal is worth considering for PlayStation fans who need removable storage space on their PC or Mac, though.

Let’s circle back to the headliner in the Evo 2025 sale.

The DualSense Edge’s enhanced build quality is immediately apparent when you grip the controller. It pairs all of the cool tech from the standard controller with premium, swappable components and useful input customization options.

PlayStation’s pro-style controller includes two different sets of remappable back paddles. It has traditional paddles that feel quite similar to the Elite Series 2. The other two paddles are smaller semicircles. You can only connect one pair at a time, but both designs are solid.

The paddles can be swapped out in seconds. The hot-swappable design extends to the three different styles of analog sticks. Instead of connecting magnetically like on the Elite Series 2, the stick caps click into place.

It retains the DualSense’s adaptive triggers while adding switches that alter the travel distance. Including the default setting, there are three stopping points. The most restrictive setting effectively turns the triggers into buttons.

The two programmable function buttons that can be used to cycle through up to 30 custom profiles as well as other settings such as audio volume.

Profiles can be created in the DualSense Edge settings menu on PS5 or with the PlayStation Accessories app on PC. You can remap all of the buttons, adjust stick and trigger sensitivities, create deadzones, alter the intensity of the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, and save all of these settings to custom profiles. You can then assign those profiles to the function buttons, which allows you to quickly switch between setups while playing.

The DualSense Edge syncs wirelessly to PS5, PC, Mac, and mobile devices via Bluetooth. For competitive players who prefer wired connections, the DualSense Edge comes with a removable lock. for the braided USB-C cable that prevents you from accidentally disconnecting the cord from the controller’s port. Just like with the standard DualSense, adaptive trigger feedback and haptics are typically reserved for wired mode on PC.

The controller and all of the components are neatly stored in the included hardshell carrying case. The DualSense Edge was previously only available in a combo white/black design, but PlayStation launched a Midnight Black edition in February.
