RuneScape: Dragonwilds has officially pushed out a brand-new update to close out July, making a plethora of fixes to the Jagex survival game. The RuneScape developer shocked the world earlier this year when it announced RuneScape: Dragonwilds as a spinoff of the beloved MMORPG, giving the game a survival spin. Dragonwilds incorporates plenty of the classic staples of the more than 20-year-old RPG, including a robust magic system and several of the most iconic Skills from RuneScape. Now, a new update is bringing several fixes to Dragonwilds for July 2025.
Since the game debuted in mid-April, Jagex has pushed regular updates to RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Each month since Dragonwilds‘ debut has welcomed a new update, pushing a variety of improvements and bug fixes for the game. June’s “It’s a Bit of Magic” update officially added the Magic skill to the game, alongside the introduction of a Hardcore game mode for Dragonwilds. Jagex is now rolling out the newest update for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, changing everything from picking up items to multiple bug fixes.

Jagex officially released the 0.8.2 update for RuneScape: Dragonwilds on Tuesday, including a laundry list of fixes. One of the biggest fixes comes when trying to pick up items off the ground in Dragonwilds, with clickboxes for dropped items said to be “taller and more generous.” The update’s other community-requested change affects the interiors for Velgar’s scorn, including Dragonbreath and Meteors, in particular, now properly being blocked by caverns. The update also pushes seven different bug fixes, addressing bugs with the game’s clock widget showing nighttime properly, adding some new cooking pairings, and some nondescript terrain fixes.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Pushes July 2025 Update
RuneScape: Dragonwilds’ newest update looks to be a smaller patch than some of the game’s previous updates, more focused on minor fixes. A previous survey from Jagex hinted at the potential addition of a new type of map in the future, able to support both PvP content and massive group PvE content. The same survey suggested that Jagex is also considering introducing community-led servers for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, with the server owners able to potentially customize different aspects of their server.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds served as an instant success story for Jagex following the launch of the RuneScape spinoff. Dragonwilds sold an impressive 600,000 copies of the survival game within less than two weeks of the game’s launch in April, briefly holding the #1 Top Seller spot on Steam. RuneScape: Dragonwilds also already boasts an impressive molding scene, with fans making a plethora of quality-of-life changes and even creating a tool to share Dragonwilds worlds with friends. RuneScape: Dragonwilds looks to maintain its strong early momentum with Jagex continuing to support the newest entry in the RuneScape universe.
