Grounded 2 features a map with different biomes, each having a hazard of its own that players will need to protect themselves from. Some areas, including the Ice-Cream Cart, are frozen and induce a chill status effect on players. The frost will slowly build up, restricting movement speed, eventually freezing you in place, and taking a chunk off your health. However, there are ways you can protect yourself from the cold.

Grounded 2: How to Get to the Top of the Garbage Can (Signals and Stashes)
Signals and Stashes main mission will require players to scale the garbage can, here’s how you resist toxic gas and reach the top.
Wearing Chill-Reduction Armor in Grounded 2
One of the first, most reliable things you can do to resist cold in Grounded 2 is wear armor with the Chill Reduction perk. Some armor pieces unlock early on, which offer some Chill Reduction. However, as you progress further into the game and get more exotic resources, you’ll be able to unlock more powerful armor that will allow you to resist the cold regions for longer.
For the best results, you should wear a three-piece armor set that provides Chill Resistance, as it’s the best protection you can have against the frost in Grounded 2.
Activate Spicy Safety Mutation
Mutations are a great way to activate passive abilities on your character that will help tremendously throughout your journey in Grounded 2. One of these mutations is called Spicy Safety, which provides a significant Chill Reduction on stage 1. If you eat 10 Spicy Shards from Spicy Candies, you’ll get the other two perks as well, which will provide Freeze and Shatter resistance.
Players can easily max out this mutation as there are several Spicy Candies located around the park, especially on top of the Picnic Table. You’ll need a level-2 Hammer to break these down and get Spicy Shards. These can be consumed to build up your resistance against cold in Grounded 2.
Eating Food That Warms You Up
Speaking of building up cold resistance, spicy food in general, like the Spicy Shards or Blazin’ Brew, will allow you to quickly warm up if you’re traversing a cold area in Grounded 2.
Once the meter is getting uncomfortably high that you can no longer sprint at full speed, consuming these items will lower it and restore your body’s temperature. These snacks and smoothies can easily be found throughout the map, but you can also craft them at your base for a steady supply.
