A rare and elusive Fortnite skin has returned to the game’s shop after a four-year-long absence, with a popular musician skin once again available for players to purchase. The beloved battle royale from Epic Games has introduced a wide range of cosmetics throughout the years, featuring skins and accessories based on video games, movies, comic books and more. Everything from Marvel to Mariah Carey has been featured in Fortnite through its various events and skins, constantly bringing more franchises and intellectual properties into the game. Now, a popular older skin is officially making a comeback.
Musician skins have been one of the most popular expansions of Fortnite‘s crossovers throughout recent years. The game has featured both modern pop singers like Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter and bands like Metallica. Fortnite even rolled out an entire season based around rap musicians, with skins based on Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and J Balvin and an entire in-game tribute to Juice WRLD. One of Fortnite‘s older musician-themed skins is now making its long-awaited return to the shop.

A recent update to Fortnite‘s in-game shop has officially made the Major Lazer skin available once again, ending a long absence for the EDM artist’s skin. The addition of the skin to Fortnite‘s shop serves as the first time the skin has been available in more than four years, last appearing in June 2021. Major Lazer was only the second musician ever added to Fortnite as a skin, with only EDM producer Marshmello preceding the Major Lazer skin. Players can pick up the Major Lazer skin in Fortnite‘s in-game shop now for 1,600 V-Bucks.
Fortnite’s Major Lazer Skin is Back After Four Years
The return of Fortnite‘s Major Lazer skin to the in-game shop comes as the battle royale recently launched one of its newest crossovers. Fortnite officially rolled out a new collaboration with Borderlands, adding skins based on characters like Mad Moxxi, Claptrap, and Psycho Hunter among others. The game’s ongoing “Super” season also welcomed a plethora of different superhero-themed skins to the game, including Robin, Superman, and Morgan Myst.
Fortnite fans should have lots to look forward to on the horizon from the Epic Games battle royale. Epic Games recently brought back a fan-favorite anime crossover Mythic weapon, with fans once again able to harness the power of Dragon Ball Z‘s “Kamehameha.” Fortnite‘s Chapter 6 Season 4 is also heavily rumored to be bringing another exciting crossover to the game, with leaks suggesting that Fortnite may add a female Spartan from the Halo franchise. Fortnite fans will have a unique opportunity to pick up the elusive Major Lazer skin for a limited time.
