Diablo 4 Season 9 seems to be the gift that keeps on giving for players hopping into the game for the first time or jumping back in after a hiatus. Not only has Diablo 4 Season 9 introduced some welcome new mechanics like Escalating Nightmares, but the season has also been very generous with helpful events for players looking to optimize their build. With the March of the Goblins now over, players still have a great reason to log into Diablo 4 over the next week so they can put the finishing touches on their endgame build.
The Sins of the Horadrim season kicked off with the Gift of the Tree event, allowing Diablo 4 players to earn extra caches from the Tree of Whispers. This event was ideal for early in the season as it was a quick way for players to earn Legendaries, materials, and XP needed for leveling up their character to the cap of 60 before starting on Paragon Levels. Now that most players have reached the endgame of Diablo 4 Season 9, the most recent two events have been a double dose of goodies to help players push their builds to their peak.
Diablo 4’s March of the Goblins and Mother’s Blessing Are Huge for Finishing Builds
March of the Goblins Giving a Resplendent Spark Puts Mythic Crafting Within Reach
The start of August 2025 saw Diablo 4 release update 2.3.2 alongside the surprise March of the Goblins event. While this event may not have been every player’s cup of tea, it was still worth it for players looking to craft Diablo 4‘s rare Mythic gear for their build. Players who slayed enough goblins during the event were rewarded with the highly coveted Resplendent Spark, a key ingredient for crafting Mythics in Diablo 4.
Resplendent Sparks are already incredibly hard to obtain, with only a few guaranteed sources of the material present in Diablo 4:
- Completing the seasonal Reputation ladder
- Defeating Uber Lilith for the first time in a season
- Salvaging other Mythic items
Players have two options for using their Resplendent Sparks: crafting a Mythic Cache at the Blacksmith for a randomized Mythic drop, or using Runes alongside Resplendent Sparks to craft a specific Mythic at Diablo 4‘s Jeweler. Both of these methods require players to own two Resplendent Sparks, so the one earned from the March of the Goblins could be the final piece of the puzzle needed for players who have completed the seasonal Reputation ladder but are having trouble defeating Uber Lilith or finding a Mythic organically.
Crafting specific Mythics requires players to own the Vessel of Hatred expansion since Runes are a DLC-exclusive mechanic.
Mother’s Blessing Can Help Players Get Paragon Levels Quickly
Now that the March of the Goblins event has come and gone, and players have their Resplendent Spark rewards in hand, the surprise of the Mother’s Blessing event is the icing on the cake at this point in the season. Mother’s Blessing offers increased XP and gold drops while active, making the final push for players to max out their Paragon Boards easier than ever. Having Masterworked Mythics and strategic Paragon Board investments are cornerstones of success in Diablo 4‘s endgame, so having these events back to back should help players still looking to get over that hump perfect their endgame builds.
Mother’s Blessing only lasts until August 12, so players wanting to take advantage of the increased XP and gold drops only have a limited time to do so.
It may be starting to feel like Season 9 should be wrapping up after update 2.3.2 heralded the final major Diablo 4 update before Season 10. However, the next season is still more than a month away, so the inclusion of the Mother’s Blessing event in the meantime is a nice way to keep players coming back to Diablo 4 while Season 9 is still ongoing.
