A popular Fortnite leaker has revealed that the horror icon Jason Voorhees could be coming to the battle royale as part of its annual Fortnitemares event that takes place around the Halloween holiday. Fortnite recently wrapped up Chapter 6 Season 3, which featured a strong focus on superheroes like Superman and The Fantastic Four.
Players looking for new content may be happy to learn that Fortnite‘s Chapter 6 Season 4 is launching on August 7, giving gamers a wealth of fresh areas to explore and a whole new battle pass to unlock. Chapter 6 Season 4, called Shock ‘N Awesome, features an alien invasion theme, though it’s unlike anything Fortnite has done in the past. This alien invasion comes in the form of massive bugs, drawing many comparisons to both Helldivers and Starship Troopers.
Jason Voorhees Might Be Coming to Fortnite
In a recent post on Twitter, the prominent leaker Wensoing revealed that Jason Voorhees from the popular Friday the 13th franchise could be coming to Epic Games’ popular battle royale as part of its annual Fortnitemares event. While it’s likely that the crossover will feature some kind of skin bundle, Wensoing specifically mentions a medallion being in the files. This means that, in addition to receiving cosmetics, Jason Voorhees could be a boss on the battlefield. This is just the latest in a long line of horror crossovers that have come to Fortnite, as the battle royale has previously collaborated with franchises like Saw and Halloween.
It seems as if Chapter 6 Season 4 will feature a wide variety of collaborations, as it was recently revealed that the DC character Peacemaker will be coming to Fortnite. In an announcement at San Diego Comic Con, James Gunn revealed that players will soon be able to purchase Peacemaker cosmetics in Fortnite. While no official details have been shared, many leakers seem to believe that the crossover will include both Peacemaker and Vigilante.
It was also revealed that Fortnite is crossing over with the Power Rangers franchise, which will include skins in both the Item Shop and the battle pass. Players who purchase the battle pass will be able to earn the Green Ranger, which has a White Ranger edit style. It’s expected that many of the other Power Rangers will be making their way to the Item Shop on August 8. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
