Most characters in Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 become available as you play through the story. You get them after finishing fights and mini-games in the storyline mode. But if you don’t want to wait, you can buy your beloved heroes and villains from the Kimetsu Points Shop in the Game Menu.
That way, you can skip the grinding and use strong fighters to snag rewards, or jump into online and offline battles right away. Just remember, not all characters work in Training Hashira mode, like Akaza, Rui, Enmu, Yahaba, Susamaru, and some others, but you can still easily use them in multiplayer battles.

As of now, the only alternative way to get Demon Slayer fighters besides story progress is by buying them with Kimetsu Points, so playing smart can help stack points quickly and bring iconic characters into your collection early.
Kimetsu Points are little golden balls of light scattered around the story maps. You just bump into them to gather (each one gives you 100 points). A good way to rack them up is by choosing chapter stages with fewer consecutive fights and plenty of open space to explore.
