Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S for Nintendo Switch 2 is discounted to $30 at Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop. The Tetris and Puyo Puyo crossover was part of the Nintendo Switch 2’s June launch lineup. Like several other games in that lineup, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S is a new version of an existing game with extra content. Originally released for consoles and PC in 2021, the Switch 2-exclusive version adds a 2v2 mode and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
Multiple other Sega-published Nintendo Switch 2 games are on sale at Amazon. Most notably, you can save $10 on Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut and Raidou Remastered. Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is also exclusive to Switch 2, but Raidou Remastered, a Shin Megami Tensei spin-off from Atlus, is also discounted for PS5, Xbox Series X, and original Switch.

Along with the new 2v2 Doubles mode, Joy-Con mouse support, and improved visuals, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S has all of the content from the original release. There’s a massive single-player campaign with increasingly difficult challenges, a plethora of gameplay variants featuring Tetris, Puyo Puyo, and a combination of both. It also has support for local and online multiplayer. There are 40 playable characters with their own unique stats and a slew of unlockables to keep you playing.
If you already own Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 for Switch (or another console), the new features probably aren’t worth the price of admission. But if you don’t have Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, we’d highly recommend it.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2’s Switch edition cannot be upgraded to the newer 2S edition. Like the other Sega games for Switch 2, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S is a Game-Key Card, so you’ll download the bulk of the game from the eShop when inserting the cartridge for the first time.
