Battlefield 6‘s Destruction Receipts community challenge is still a long way from reaching its goal, with mere hours left until time runs out on the second open beta. Open beta weekends have attracted hundreds of thousands of players hungry to try out Battlefield 6‘s features before its full release in October, but it seems like far too few have been interested in chasing after that goal so far.
The second open beta for Battlefield 6 began on August 14, and it’s set to wrap up on August 18, at 4 a.m. ET, 1 a.m. PT. Held a week prior, the first open beta period attracted huge numbers, with a reported peak concurrent player count exceeding 521,000, shattering previous records for the FPS franchise.
Battlefield 6 Destruction Receipts Goal May Be Too High
To increase the social media presence of the upcoming game, EA introduced the Destruction Receipts challenge for the game’s second and final open beta weekend, tasking players with recording the destruction damage they’ve caused in Battlefield 6 and posting the gameplay videos with the hashtag #BF6Receipts. EA set a benchmark of $1 trillion in damage for the challenge, with the promise of rewarding players with a Battlefield 6 Destruction skin if they can collectively meet that goal. But with just a little over nine hours to go in the open beta, players haven’t even hit the 20 percent mark, with the community challenge’s official website showing just over $178 billion in damage recorded.
The top of the leader board for the event is currently held by Vusal_Mahmudlu, who has racked up $336 million in damage, with $216 million coming from FTR Aircraft, $85 million from ATK Aircraft, and $35 million from Attack Helo. A gameplay video posted to the website and Twitter shows the player flying high over a Battlefield 6 map, taking down a couple of enemy aircraft before piloting their own jet directly into base, ejecting at the last second. Out of the nearly 5,000 who have submitted videos so far, only two others have cleared the $300 million threshold.
For those looking to boost those last-minute numbers for the community challenge, FTR Aircraft destruction in Battlefield 6 seems to be the way to go. Of the 100 players whose videos are accessible on the leader board, every single one has a receipt for an FTR Aircraft, which is clearly the most expensive destructible object in the game, at least for the purposes of the open beta. The goal still looks to be a long way off, but as EA states that it will take up to 24 hours between players posting their videos and having their damage added to the tally, there may still be hope of unlocking the special skin.
