The free-to-play FPS Delta Force had a big weekend on Steam. The team-based tactical shooter jumped up the charts and exceeded 210,000 peak concurrent players on Sunday, August 24–that was the all-time peak. The game’s player numbers are holding strong, too, remaining above 170,000 right now.
The game launched in December 2024 on Steam and reached more than 100,000 concurrent players at the time. Since then, the player numbers for Delta Force on Steam have grown, peaking this past Sunday.
The newest update for Delta Force on Steam arrived on August 21, adding new event modes and challenges. The developer also outlined more events through the end of September.
Delta Force previously saw a spike in players in April 21 with the addition of a new map and a Night Ops mode.
The new Delta Force is developed by Tencent’s TiMi Studio. The console edition launched in August 2025 featuring a Black Hawk Down campaign, but there is no player data available for how the game is performing on Xbox and PlayStation, though Delta Force does not regularly show up in Circana’s US engagement reports.
Analyst Daniel Ahmad of Niko Partners said in December 2024 when Delta Force originally launched on Steam that the game was super popular in China but had a “muted” debut in the West. The specific hours during which Delta Force reaches peak popularity suggests the game is popular outside of the US.
