007 First Light Release Date Confirmed, Arrives Just Before GTA 6

As part of the PlayStation State of Play event today, Hitman developer IO Interactive showed off lots more of its upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light, and confirmed the game’s release date.

007 First Light will launch on March 27, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch 2–that’s about two months before GTA 6 lands on May 26, 2026.

Also during the State of Play, IO Interactive confirmed that Dexter: Original Sin actor Patrick Gibson will play James Bond in the game. The developer showed off lots of gameplay as well and revealed a $300 collector’s edition that comes with a mini Golden Gun.

007 First Light tells an origin story for James Bond, and that’s mostly untouched ground for the spy series. IO Interactive has high hopes, too, saying it wants the game to be the first in a new trilogy.
