After extracting your second target in Cronos: The New Dawn, your next goal will be to make your way to the Hospital, which is located in Sector A-0. The path to this survival horror’s hospital will not be short and will also have one of the most difficult enemy encounters, so players must prepare themselves.
Inside the Hospital, to the right, is a Chapel room where players can find the usual saving station and workstation. This is all normal, but upon looking to the right of the room, most players will be confused as to how the altar works and what to do to open the door next to it. Here is everything you need to know to solve the puzzle in Cronos: The New Dawn.
What To Do at the Altar in the Chapel in Cronos: The New Dawn
The hospital section of the game requires you to find three formulas that are needed for the toxin. The path is linear, so you will have to get them in a specific order. When making your way to the first formula, you will come across a large enemy patrolling a corridor. This indicates that you are close to the first formula as well as the first piece of the puzzle required for the altar. Deal with all the enemies in the area. Be careful, as some of the rooms are filled with these grotesque creatures.
You can also find Energy by dealing with the enemies or breaking the wooden crates, which is essential for upgrades.
Ignore the main objective for now and go to the Personnel room, where you will find the code to the director’s office, which is 9509. Exit the room, turn right into the hallway, and to your right will be the Director’s office. Head inside and enter the code to gain access to the main room, where you can find the Chalice on your left.
What To Do With the Chalice in Cronos: The New Dawn?
Now that you have acquired the first Chalice and have the Access Card, you must make your way to the Operations Block, which is accessible through Wing B. You might have come across the door to the Operations Block before, but at that time, you did not have the Access Card, which forced you to follow the main objective.
Use the card to go inside and find a bunch of enemies lying on the ground, who will all become active once you get close to them. Go all the way to the other end, where you will have to push a metal cabinet to get past to the other side. Inside, you will find a cat as well as the Vasculum next to the window.
Take both of these vessels back to the altar, where you can place them to get the Chapel Backroom Key. Open the door next to the chapel using the key, and inside, you will find a bunch of resources and the Mace JER-5120, which is a double-barreled shotgun.
This weapon is missable if you are focusing only on the main story of the game.
