When it comes to patching people up and getting them back on their feet, nobody does it better than these One Piece doctors.
These children play different roles depending on the situation. They could be the introduction of the arc’s underlying conflict or a source of support in a time of need. Some even become the main focus of their own story arc. This topic will include the most important children in One Piece who have helped the Straw Hats or the overall story in some way.
8
Rika
The Girl Who Makes Rice Balls
Rika is a young girl from East Blue, and she makes it onto this list by virtue of being one of the first characters to help Luffy and Zoro at the start of their adventure. For those who don’t remember, Rika is the girl who fed Zoro rice balls while he was captured by the Marines. This small act of kindness nearly led to her execution.
Although she hasn’t appeared in the main story since, she was one of Luffy and Zoro’s first supporters, and her presence served as a bridge between the two, creating one of the strongest partnerships in the entire series. It is through Rika that the audience is able to learn more about the captain and his First Mate.
7
Aisa
Youngest User Of Observation Haki
The Skypeia arc is either loved or hated by the fan base, but anyone who has watched or read it will know that it has its fair share of interesting characters. Aisa is a young Shandian girl who befriends the crew while they explore Sky Island. It’s with her help that the Straw Hats are able to navigate the clouds and understand the island’s civil war.
Although she didn’t do much during the Skypeia arc, she represents the unity between sky people and the future of the island as she’s the only Shandian naturally born with Mantra (observation Haki). She’s also the reason the Straw Hats have a wave rider in the form of the Going Merry II.
6
Mocha
A Brave Little Girl
Punk Hazard was the Straw Hats’ first big hurdle in the New World. Not only was it a wasteland destroyed by a fight between two admirals, but it was also the location of Caesar Clown’s laboratory, where all sorts of inhuman experiments were being conducted. It’s also where the crew meets Mocha and a group of kidnapped children.

One Piece: Most Important Story Arc For Every Straw Hat
The Straw Hats have all grown and matured a lot throughout One Piece’s story, but these arcs stand out for each of them on a personal basis.
Mocha and her friends serve as a source of motivation for many of the Straw Hats in this arc, but Mocha stands out for her resilience and bravery during one crucial scene. To save her friends, she eats all the drugged candy. This causes her to quickly overdose and enter a near-death state. It’s one of the most selfless sacrifices in the series, and it was done by a girl who is nine years old.
5
Chimney
Water 7’s Happiest Little Girl
Water 7 introduced many fun characters with odd designs, and Chimney is one of them. Accompanied by her pet cat, Chimney somehow managed to be part of every major story development without drawing attention away from the main cast. Despite this, she played a very important role in Enies Lobby.
Chimney is one of the bravest little girls in the series as she accompanies the Straw Hats during their raid on Enies Lobby. Whether this is due to courage or naivety is unclear, but she never stopped smiling during the whole event. It’s with her help that Luffy is able to catch up with Spandam, Lucci, and Robin before it’s too late.
4
Toko
A Girl Who Can’t Stop Smiling
Although her role is small, Toko is an important part of Wano’s overarching story. As a victim of Kaidou’s tyrannical rule over the country, she serves as an example of the conflict’s severity. Her suffering helps to motivate both the Straw Hats and the samurai in their rebellion against the Beasts Pirates.

Toko also happens to be connected to various influential figures like Shimotsuki Yasuie and Kouzuki Hiyori. It’s through them that she’s able to help others in small ways. For example, she helps nurse Zoro after being attacked by Killer. Her contributions are small, but she influences many events in Wano.
3
Kurozumi Tama
Beast Master And Dumpling Maker
Tama is one of the first people Luffy befriends, and she does it through food. Despite not having enough to eat herself, she was willing to share what little she had with Luffy. It’s through her that Luffy is able to learn more about Ace’s adventures and understand the damage done by Kaidou.
With the use of her Devil Fruit powers, Tama can tame any animal or wild beast by feeding it one of her Kibi Dango, including people who have eaten Zoan Devil Fruits. This comes in handy while traveling around the country, but it’s most crucial during the raid on Onigashima. Without Tama, the Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance would never have been able to defeat the Beasts Pirates’ overwhelming numbers.
2
Kouzuki Momonosuke
The Shogun Of Wano
Momonosuke is one of the most important child characters in One Piece, which is seen in his relevance in the story. From Punk Hazard to Wano, he accompanied the Straw Hats across four different islands, and in that time, he was able to learn and grow. His situation is very similar to Vivi’s and her journey to Alabasta.

Although he now has an adult body, Momonosuke is still technically only eight years old. Despite this, he is the shogun of Wano, leading the country in its recovery while also preparing to open its borders in the future. He’s one of Luffy’s closest allies in the New World, and he’ll definitely return before the end of the story.
1
Jewelry Bonney
The Strongest 12-Year-Old
Egghead brought many surprises and lore drops, and among them was Bonney’s history. Despite being just twelve years old, she and her crew were able to make it from South Blue to the New World. Although she did get captured and separated from her friends, she still somehow survived. She’s incredibly resilient and determined due to her love for her father.
For the longest time, fans believed her to be around Luffy’s age, but after learning the truth, she’s become even more impressive. As of now, she’s still traveling with the Straw Hats. Whether she’ll become an official member is unknown, but either way, she’s left a deep impression on the story and may continue to do so in the future.
