As of July 14, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player Scott “Biscotto” Riccardi of New Jersey is the current Jeopardy champion, with a seven-day winning streak that has earned him $182,901 so far. Biscotto’s earnings on Jeopardy have surpassed the individual amounts won by professional Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players over multiple tournaments and events.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Biscotto’s main character to play is Bayonetta, who first appeared as the final DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Although Bayonetta was significantly nerfed between games, her skills as an Umbra Witch allow her to perform various aerial combos and catch opponents off guard. However, Bayonetta’s reliance on quick-hitting combos limits her KO potential during the latter half of a match. Though other characters like Sonic, Steve, and Joker continue to dominate the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate meta game, Bayonetta still sees some use in competitions.

Rumor: A Nintendo Direct for July 2025 Could Be Happening Soon
A known industry leaker claims that a Nintendo Direct could still take place sometime in July and offers some reasons behind their prediction.
While Biscotto is not the most recognizable Super Smash Bros. player, his time playing another popular game has garnered some attention. As reported by Dexerto, Biscotto has earned $182,901 over seven days and is the current Jeopardy champion heading into the July 14 episode. During the July 11 episode of Jeopardy, Biscotto’s reign as champion was tested, as he and fellow contestant Andrew Wang were within $1,900 of each other going into the Final Jeopardy round. After Jeopardy host Ken Jennings confirmed that each contestant’s response of “What is the Hope Diamond?” was the correct one, Biscotto’s wager of $14,000 brought his total to $33,000, which allowed him to claim victory by a $400 margin and narrowly hold onto his championship.
Super Smash Bros. Player Biscotto Continues Reign as Jeopardy Champion
Biscotto’s earnings as a Jeopardy champion are not the highest, but his six-figure prize total has earned him more money than other Super Smash Bros. Ultimate content creators and professionals. By comparison, pro SSBU player MkLeo has amassed a reported $168,669 in prize money from all his tournament victories, with Biscotto’s current Jeopardy run topping that by over $14,000. However, cracking Jeopardy‘s Leaderboard of Legends remains a tall task for Biscotto, as Ryan Long’s 16-game run in 2022 is the tenth-highest streak on the show as of this writing. Show host Jennings holds the records for consecutive games won and highest winnings during regular season play, with $2,520,700 over 74 games during his 2004 run as a contestant.
Alongside his skills as a Bayonetta player in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Biscotto’s time as the current Jeopardy champion has rallied his fellow competitors to support him. It remains to be seen how long Biscotto’s time as champion will last.
