Sung Jinwoo is one of the most popular anime characters in the world. Thanks to the massive success of Solo Leveling Season 2, Jinwoo even won the best main character of the year award. It goes without saying that Jinwoo has his own charm, and much of that is down to his strength. Naturally, Jinwoo will only get stronger with time, but fans believe he lacks one major thing, and that is character development.

Solo Leveling Fans Are Waiting For Season 3, But The Latest Update Is Very Worrying

Solo Leveling fans are excited for season 3, but it might be in trouble.

Solo Leveling Season 3 might be where Jinwoo’s character finally gets some growth. The producer of the show made a new comment about him that fans need to check out.

Solo Leveling Is At The Peak of Its Popularity

Solo Leveling Season 3 is Highly Anticipated

Solo Leveling is an anime based on a webtoon series by the same name. This new anime has surpassed all expectations with its global popularity, and fans can’t get enough of it. Solo Leveling immediately became a hit after Season 1 in 2024, and even more so now after the massive success of Solo Leveling season 2 earlier this year.

The series is fast-paced, easy to follow, and features incredible fights in almost every episode. As such, it’s not surprising to see it become so big.

Of course, with Solo Leveling Season 2 having concluded earlier this year, fans are looking forward to the third season. Solo Leveling Season 3 has been verbally confirmed, but the details remain unknown. Most importantly, the release date is still up in the air. Fans don’t know when this new season is coming out, and it could be anytime between 2026 and 2028. As such, the release window is yet to be confirmed.

But, while fans don’t know much about when Solo Leveling Season 3 is coming, what’s already clear is that the third season is going to be starkly different from what came before it, and Jinwoo’s character is about to change drastically.

Jinwoo is Up For a Huge Change in Season 3

Jinwoo Gets Stronger, But There Are Consequences

Recently, one of the producers of Solo Leveling, named Atsushi Kaneko, had an interview, and he revealed some interesting information concerning Jinwoo in Season 3.

Jinwoo is about to get stronger, much more than he was in Season 2. But, that won’t come without consequences. While Jinwoo gains power, he will also lose something, most likely himself.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Is Already Getting Surpassed By 1 New Anime

Solo Leveling season 2 was huge, but this one anime is taking away its spotlight.

After all, it has already been stated in the series that Jinwoo is losing his humanity as he grows stronger. There is about to be a ton of inner conflict in Solo Leveling Season 3 for Jinwoo, and some well-needed character growth is on the way.

    Here’s Atsushi Kaneko’s full statement:

“If we get a season three, Jinwoo would become the strongest, but he would lose something in that regard. He would be incomplete. We want to show that conflict and I would be happy to show that.” — Atsushi Kaneko

    Where To Watch Solo Leveling?

    Available on Crunchyroll

Solo Leveling has two seasons out right now, one with 12 episodes, and the other with 13, for a combined episode count of 25 episodes available to watch right now. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll for fans to enjoy while awaiting any more news concerning the third season.

For fans who can’t wait for season 3 to come out, checking out the Manhwa might be a great option.
