In Pokemon GO, every monster in the game has a unique sprite, including the likes of alternate forms, special costume variants, and Regional Variants. However, one unique Pokemon that bends these standards slightly is Spinda, a rabbit-like monster originating from Generation 3’s Hoenn Region.
In Pokemon games, Spinda is generally available in numerous different patterns, with various sprites for each one of them containing different arrangements of spots and markings on the face and body. This is no different in Pokemon GO, which also has nine different Spinda variants that can be obtained and collected by Trainers. If players are wondering how to obtain Spinda Pattern 1 in Pokemon GO, this guide has all of the details they’ll need to know.

How To Get Spinda Pattern 1 in Pokemon GO
In Pokemon GO, there are nine different Spinda patterns in the game as of July 2025. This includes eight different standard patterns, and the special Loveheart pattern, which is generally released through specialized Valentine’s Day events and limited opportunities, making it a bit rarer than the others to come by.
In the game, Spinda has formerly been available as a Raid Boss, so there is always the chance that it may make an appearance again in the future. However, it is primarily available for players through completing Field Research Task rewards, often specifically during limited-time themed events.
Every month in Pokemon GO, the featured Spinda pattern for that month is rotated over to the next pattern, usually moving in ascending order before repeating, with the only exceptions to this being the Valentine’s events in February, or special cases. The most recent case of Spinda Pattern 1 being available is in July 2025, with it being featured as a Research Task reward encounter in the Summer Concert event between the dates of July 19 and July 22. Therefore, the best way to get Spinda Pattern 1 is to complete Research Tasks during the Summer Concert event. Otherwise, players will have to wait until the next time the Spinda 1 pattern rolls around to get it.
Can Spinda Pattern 1 Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?
In Pokemon GO, all Spinda Patterns have also been released in a shiny variant. This means that, yes, if players are lucky, they may just stumble upon an encounter with this monster’s alternate palette. However, as Spinda is generally obtained through Research Task rewards, players may have a lower chance of encountering them in shiny form, as Research Tasks are often limited to a specific number and tend to only offer one encounter per completed task.
This means that it’s much harder to farm encounters to potentially meet these lucky odds, but not impossible. Alternatively, Trainers can also gain a shiny Spinda through trades, as long as they are able to find a local trading partner who has a shiny Spinda they’re willing to swap out.
