How to Win the Yasuda Kinen Race in Umamusume: Pretty Derby
The Yasuda Kinen race is a 1600-meter Mile race on Turf, so if you want to have the best odds at winning it, you’ll want an Uma who has the aptitude for such conditions.
As mentioned, Vodka is a good contender for Yasuda Kinen because of her natural aptitude for Turf Mile races. Other characters who are good for this kind of race are:
- Grass Wonder
- Maruzensky
- El Condor Pasa
- Oguri Cap
- Daiwa Scarlet
For most characters, you can get away with training primarily their Speed and Power with a sprinkle of Stamina. Striking a balance between these three stats is crucial, but don’t forget to train Guts and Wit every now and then. The latter is especially useful if you want more skill points.
Stamina isn’t as important for Mile races due to their shorter distance, but unless your Uma is going to compete exclusively in Mile races, it’s best to train their Stamina throughout their career.
