Black Ops 6 Zombies may not have received an additional map for Season 4, with the last and final chapter to the saga making its debut in Season 5, but it did receive a whole host of updates to tide fans over. From the debut of the Abomination Challenge LTM to the return of Grief, players really do have some fun additional modes to try out aside from the regular round-based experiences.
On the topic of additional content for Zombies, Season 4 Reloaded also marks the debut of fresh events for Zombies mode. The first is the King of the Dead Event, which takes players into a tournament-style competition to earn rewards. The Master of Grief also follows a similar style to the event before it, this time centered entirely around the popular competitive Grief mode. Here is everything players need to know about the Master of Grief Event.

Black Ops 6 Zombies: 8 Tips & Tricks For Grief
Grief in Black Ops 6 Zombies is definitely competitive. Here are some tips and tricks to help you get better.
How Does the Master of Grief Event Work in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
Just like the previous King of the Dead Event, which has since ended, the Master of Grief Event is a tournament-style event that is exclusive to Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode. For Master of Grief, players will be tasked with collecting Essence while playing Grief, which can be done passively.
As players collect Essence, they will move up the Master of Grief leaderboard to earn a series of rewards. Players will be pitted against 29 other players in the Master of Grief leaderboard, with the rewards they earn depending purely on the placement that they rank once the event concludes. The players’ placement and progress can be tracked by the main leaderboard via the Master of Grief Event Tab in the main lobby.
Additionally, players also have an additional set of rewards, separate from the leaderboard, that they can earn straight away without having to compete. This way, all players can get a little something for their efforts.
To increase the amount of Essence earned in Grief, try using the following GobbleGums: Profit Sharing, Reign Drops, and Who’s Keeping Score.
All Master of Grief Event Rewards in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Just like the King of the Dead Event, the Master of Grief Event contains exclusively GobbleGum rewards, each split into two unlock methods. The first way to unlock GobbleGums is by progressing up the Master of Grief leaderboard, with each placement yielding a set of GobbleGums that will be distributed according to the player’s final placement once the event ends on July 31 at 10 AM PT.
The second set of rewards is awarded by reaching specific milestones. These rewards mainly consist of Rare GobbleGums and can be earned immediately once the event begins, without needing to earn a particular placement on the leaderboard. Here is a rundown of every reward unlockable through the Master of Grief Event and how to get them:
