Konami has confirmed that a new Silent Hill f trailer will be revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19, and those visiting the event in person will be able to take part in a unique horror experience inspired by the upcoming title. Fans are eager to see even more of the upcoming horror game in action ahead of its planned September 25 release date, as Silent Hill f is poised to introduce some gameplay changes to the legendary series.
Details about the next entry in the popular survival horror franchise have continued to pop up throughout 2025. Silent Hill f will take place in Japan, the first game in the series to do so, and will follow high school student Hinako Shimizu as she navigates the fictional town of Ebisugaoka in the 1960s, solving puzzles and fighting horrific creatures in an attempt to survive. Writer Ryukishi07, known for his work on the When They Cry visual novel series, is penning the game’s story, while composer Akira Yamaoka is returning to compose Silent Hill f’s haunting score. Now, fans will get a brand-new look at the game ahead of its launch, with Konami eager to share more about the title at a major gaming event next month.

A new trailer for Silent Hill f will be shown during the Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation on August 19 at 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT. Many fans are hoping to see more gameplay during the show, as it was recently confirmed that Silent Hill f would feature more action and melee combat when compared to past entries in the series. Additionally, Konami has announced that the event will also house a “cinematic and atmospheric Silent Hill f horror experience,” though what this means is unclear. Those attending Gamescom and visiting Konami’s booth will also be able to try a Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater hands-on demo, and more information regarding the future of the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise will also be shared.
In a June interview, Silent Hill f actress Konatsu Kato shared her feelings about the upcoming game, stating that because she has been portraying the character for such a long time behind the scenes, she could feel her “sanity slipping” at certain times. Due to many disturbing elements included in the title, such as visible entrails and characters being burned alive, Silent Hill f was banned in Australia for a time before earning an updated rating.
Those wanting to play Silent Hill f on the Steam Deck at launch are in luck, as Valve has confirmed that the game will be compatible with the device.
