Aside from Mastery, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 also has ranks that show how good you are in battles. They go from D to S, with S being the best, and also the hardest to get in Advanced mode.
You can achieve high ranks by doing well during battles in Story Chapters, The Path of a Demon Slayer, and Training Paths mode. There are also ranks awarded in mini-games like Zenko’s Shamisen Jams, Kanroji’s Hellfish Flexibility Training, and Himejima’s Strength Training. Here’s how you can earn S Ranks in both combat and mini-games in Demon Slayer The Hinokami Chronicles 2.
How to Get S Rank in Demon Slayer The Hinokami Chronicles 2
Getting an S Rank really matters, especially if you’re trying to unlock special outfits for your favorite Demon Slayer characters. You also get cool stamps of Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Hashiras from different Breathing Styles like Love, Water, Sound, Mist, and more.
First off, if you’re going for an S Rank in battles, the biggest factor is how little damage you take (or, in other words, how much HP you keep). It can get tricky on intermediate or advanced difficulty, but it’s totally doable if you focus on dodging and staying out of harm’s way. Take Enmu, for example; his Demon Art has a short range, so if you keep your distance while he’s charging it up, you can avoid it easily. But if you get caught in his flesh tentacles, expect to take way more damage than usual. That’s why dodging enemy Ultimates and specials is super important when aiming for that higher rank.
Next, you’ll need to chip away at your opponent’s health and beat them down as much as you can. You can do this through chase dashes, using your support character often, and making the most of your Ultimate Arts. Instead of fully switching places with your duo, keep tapping the U key to fight together for a short burst. This way, your support character jumps in to land hits alongside your main fighter, helping you stack up more hits and combos.
Team Ultimates (or Duo Ultimates) increase your odds of scoring an S Rank in Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2. Make sure to fight using both characters until the red bar fills up twice, then trigger it to finish strong.
That said, players looking to get an S Rank in mini-games just need to work on timing their moves for successful shots. Just like in the anime, it takes a good amount of practice to get the training or tasks right.
In Zenko’s Shamisen Jams, you’ll need to press the keys at the perfect time to match the instrument and play the tune properly. And in Himejima’s Strength Training, it’s the same idea; time your inputs right so Tanjiro can push the boulder forward.
