Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s next DLC, Legacy of the Forge, is set to launch on September 9 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is one of the highest-rated new game releases of 2025, with Warhorse’s epic open world medieval action-RPG earning widespread critical acclaim since its launch in February. It’s safe to say that many fans would have been satisfied with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s base game, but Warhorse decided to take things a step further with an ambitious post-launch roadmap that spans free updates along with paid DLC.
The first Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 DLC, Brushes with Death, was released in May and is available for a mere $5.99 or as part of the $29.99 Expansion Pass. Brushes with Death added new quests for players to complete and also made it possible to customize protagonist Henry’s shield. Fans have always known that the second DLC, Legacy of the Forge, was aiming for a fall 2025 release, but now we have an exact release date thanks to a new trailer released during Gamescom Opening Night Live.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Legacy of the Forge DLC Release Date
The Legacy of the Forge DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be available on Tuesday, September 9 across all platforms. Part of the Expansion Pass, Legacy of the Forge takes place in Kuttenburg, with Henry having the opportunity to restore a burnt-down forge. Players are able to expand the forge to their liking and work to become a forge master by completing quests and raising their Guild Rank. It should make for an interesting change of pace and give Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 fans more reason to jump back into the game.
Legacy of the Forge DLC quests will include encounters with people who were acquaintances of Henry’s father. As some may recall, Henry’s father was a blacksmith, and so the Legacy of the Forge DLC should have some sentimental value. If nothing else, the DLC will give Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 fans even more to do in the massive open world game, and help tide them over while they wait for future content.
The third DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is Mysteria Ecclesiae, and it will be available at some point this winter. The current plan is for the DLC to be out before 2025 is over, so chances are good that it will drop at some point in the beginning of December or thereabouts.
