Disney Dreamlight Valley has revealed that its next paid expansion DLC, Wishblossom Ranch, will be hitting all platforms this November. Opening up a horse-filled alpine homestead area, the new expansion looks to give Disney Dreamlight Valley players a new place in which they can cultivate their life alongside classic Disney characters.
Since its full launch in December 2023, there have been two full, paid expansions for the fanciful life simulator, each released in two parts. The latter of these two expansions, Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Storybook Vale DLC, was originally launched in November 2024 and recently wrapped up its story with the second half’s release in July, leaving some players wondering when the next big bit of content would be coming to the game.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Next Big Expansion Has Been Announced
That question has now been answered, courtesy of the game’s official website, which includes a brief trailer that gives players a glimpse into what Wishblossom Ranch has in store. While a teaser post made on September 2 gave players an even earlier look at Wishblossom Ranch, the announcement today makes some new promises, including free-roaming horses that players can befriend, ride, feed, and get help from regarding crop maintenance on the ranch. This isn’t the first time horses will be featured in the game, as Tangled‘s Maximus is already an included character, but the creatures should get a much bigger role starting in November.
According to a description on the website, restoring the ranch itself will also be a big part of the DLC. Drawing its energy from powerful wishes of the heart, the ranch was left neglected, which led to a phenomenon called The Decay. Players will have to find a way to combat The Decay and build the location into the ranch of their dreams, but how they will do so is still unclear. It sounds as though The Decay is a malevolent magical force, similar to the main story’s The Forgetting and its Night Thorns, but players wishing to learn more can tune into a special showcase planned for October 15.
The reveal also raises the question of when free-to-play players will start seeing more content in the game. The last big update to Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s free content roadmap was revealed in June, and parts of it have already been added to the game since then. It looks like there’s still plenty more to be revealed before the end of 2025, as a return to the world of Beauty and the Beast is coming this autumn, while Cinderella is being teased for winter.
