However, recently, many big-hit manga series have ended one after the other. Just last year, two of Shonen Jump’s biggest series, Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia, ended back-to-back. This was a huge hit for the magazine, and at this point, not many big series remain. The most notable series that are still ongoing are One Piece, Dandadan, and Sakamoto Days. However, one of these is ending soon as well.

Sakamoto Days just got its first anime season, but sadly, the manga is already ending. The series had captivated many and was one of Shonen Jump’s most popular series in recent years. It was decently popular even before any anime adaptation was out. Sakamoto Days could have definitely been far bigger than it is right now had it received a better adaptation.
Regardless, Sakamoto Days is now entering its final battle, and it’s only a matter of time before the series ends. Soon, an ending date for the series will be revealed.
Overall, the series ended up being rather short. When the series ends, it will probably have around 240 chapters, which is insignificant compared to some heavy hitters like One Piece and Naruto. Manga series are getting shorter and shorter in Weekly Shonen Jump.
