Where to Find a Hive Stash in Fortnite
Hive Stashes are a unique loot cache that players can get their hands on in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4. Hive Stashes can be found all around the island, most notably in the bug-controlled areas of the map. These locations are as follows:
- The Hive
- Ranger’s Ruin
- Stormy Stash
To find a Hive Stash quickly with relative ease, be sure to head in and around any of the above locations. They can typically be spotted from a distance thanks to the unique glow they give off, making it pretty easy to drop onto them right from the get-go and then move on to destroying them.
How to Destroy a Hive Stash in Fortnite
Hive Stashes are glowing gold structures that contain a Rare Chest inside, though they are often guarded by bug spawners that continuously deploy bug reinforcements. Because of this, players will need to destroy the spawners and the surrounding bugs before attempting to break open the stash. Once clear, players can destroy a Hive Stash by interacting with it.
Doing so will reward players with a variety of loot, notably two weapons of Rare rarity or higher, Gold Bars, and a healing item. While Hive Stashes can primarily be used to grab some neat loot, such as the Bug Smasher, breaking them open is also key to spawning the Queen boss in the area.
If players destroy three Hive Stashes, they will also complete the “Destroy Hive Stashes to taunt a Queen” Kickstart Quest. This rewards 15,000 XP, which contributes towards leveling up the player’s various Passes, including the Chapter 6 Season 4 Battle Pass.
