The 2025 Pokemon World Championships livestream event will feature an exclusive Mystery Gift code, allowing players to claim a free Farigiraf on their copies of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Mystery Gift giveaways for the Pokemon World Championships (PWC) are a time-honored tradition for the franchise, giving Pokemon fans watching the event live a more tangible reward for participating than just the joy of experiencing the action-packed battles.
Every year, The Pokemon Company celebrates PWC by offering players a chance to claim a free Pokemon based on one of the team members of the previous year’s tournament winner. Last year, a Sylveon from 2023 PWC winner Tomoya Ogawa’s team was offered for a limited time as a Mystery Gift, with the exact same nature, stats, moveset, and held item as the one that won the championship the previous year. This year, fans get the opportunity to get their hands on a competitive-tier Farigiraf instead.
2025 PWC Livestream Will Announce Farigiraf Mystery Gift Code
In a blog post on the official website, The Pokemon Company announced that the 2025 PWC livestream, running from August 15-17, will share a public Mystery Gift code for a Farigiraf based on the one in Luca Ceribelli’s championship-winning team, free for all Scarlet and Violet players to claim. The limited-time code will be available to all players until August 22 at 4:59 PM (PDT), regardless of whether they physically attend the event or watch online, and will be displayed on both the Twitch and YouTube livestreams.
Although the announcement confirmed that the Mystery Gift will have the same stats and moveset as Luca’s Farigiraf (Psychic Noise, Foul Play, Helping Hand, and Trick Room), it made no mention of the Pokemon’s Tera typing, Held Item, or nature. Based on similar Mystery Gift distributions carried out in the past, however, it is highly likely those factors will be identical as well.
Players will be able to unlock Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Mystery Gift feature after finishing the tutorial sequence and reaching Los Platos, the first small settlement in the game. The code can only be used once per save file, meaning it’s impossible to claim multiple Farigirafs without more than one game copy.
While waiting for the 2025 PWC livestream, players can also claim a Shiny Wo-Chien Mystery Gift right now, which is being offered as a community reward for achieving over one million victories in the recent Tera Raid battle event. This offer can be obtained using the “Get Via Internet” option from the Mystery Gift menu, which will remain available until September 30. If players achieve similar results with the ongoing Chien-Pao raid by August 17, another Shiny reward will soon follow as well.
